About InkCost
InkCost is the printer arithmetic: what a page really costs, how long the cartridge lasts, and when the "cheap" printer becomes the expensive one.
InkCost exists because printers are sold below cost and ink is sold like perfume — and the cost-per-page math that reveals the scam is simple. Cartridge price ÷ yield is the whole secret; one page of arithmetic beats years of resentment.
Every calculator on InkCost shows its formula and its assumptions on the page, so you can check the math, reproduce it in a spreadsheet, or argue with it. Inputs are processed entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server, and there are no accounts.
InkCost is an independent, ad-supported project. We are not affiliated with any lender, brand, agency, or the sources we cite (manufacturer specifications and published standards). If a number looks wrong, the contact page reaches a human who fixes it.
